EE260 Humidity and Temperature Probe: Heated Meteorological Sensor

In meteorology, condensation and freezing rain are data killers. Standard probes get covered in dew or ice, flatlining at 100% RH for hours. The Nuicon EE260 Humidity and Temperature Probe is engineered for continuous high-accuracy monitoring in the harshest outdoor climates. Featuring a dual heating system, it keeps both the sensing element and the probe body warm, preventing condensation and icing even in freezing fog.

EE260 Humidity & Temperature Probe – Highlights

Continuous Operation: Accurate humidity measurement even in fog and high moisture.

Dual Heating System

Where to Use the EE260 Probe

  • Airports: Critical for detecting freezing fog and runway icing conditions using the EE260 Humidity and Temperature Probe.
  • Road Weather: Monitors highways for black ice formation to trigger salt spreader trucks.
  • Offshore Platforms: Withstands salt spray and high humidity without corrosion or drift.
  • Wind Turbines: Prevents ice throw by detecting icing conditions on nacelles early.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Because the probe is warm, it cannot measure ambient temperature. You must use a separate temperature probe (like the EE060 or a PT100) alongside the EE260.

It measures the dew point (which is independent of temperature) and back-calculates relative humidity using the ambient temperature from the separate probe.

Yes, via Modbus commands, but we recommend keeping it active for freeze protection.
